  • Silvio Pileggi wants Oakwood Square Shopping Center to have a grocery store, to be spruced up, the potholes and sidewalks repaired and to thrive once again. The owner of Pileggi's Italian Cafe, located in the shopping center, is fighting the "paper tenant" Giant Eagle, which left the shopping center in 2000 as the anchor store. He hopes to get them to release the spot so another grocery can occupy it and draw traffic back to the shopping center.

  • Police say the Alliance man arrested with 276 pair of women's underwear, a stolen gun and hundreds of pictures of his burglary victims may have targeted more than 20 women. The burglary victims were Mount Union College students and most were sorority sisters. And while police still don't know the identities of all of them, Bair said Thomas E. Williams, 25, is the suspect. Williams was arrested at 6:21 p.m. Wednesday in his parents' home, where he lived. He was booked into the Stark County Jail on a felony receiving stolen property charge involving a gun stolen from a Florida resident several years ago. Read more on CantonRep.com
